This Sunday is the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe!
This weekend is of great importance to the people of Christ the King – we celebrate our patronal feast! Indeed, Catholics everywhere rejoice in the sovereignty of Jesus, our universal King.
It is altogether fitting that we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday. The clergy and staff wish you and your families a blessed Thanksgiving!
There will be a free holiday meal offered tomorrow!
The Community Neighborhood Thanksgiving, sponsored in part by Saint Thomas the Apostle, will be tomorrow, November 19. We will be distributing 250 hot to-go meals and 300 turkeys that day from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at William H. Adams Community Center (854 Alton Ave., Columbus Ohio, 43219). All are welcome to drive-thru or walk-up to receive a meal! If anyone wishes to volunteer, please call the parish office. (This event is bilingual.)
Please note the schedule changes for the Thanksgiving holiday!
The parish offices will be closed this Wednesday, November 23, and there will not be Adoration or Confessions at Christ the King this Wednesday or Friday. Our Masses on Thanksgiving will be at 9:00 a.m. at both Saint Thomas (Bilingual) and Christ the King (English). We will also have a 7:00 p.m. Mass in Spanish at Christ the King. The Saint Vincent de Paul food pantry at Saint Thomas is asking for canned vegetables and jars of peanut butter to be donated on Thanksgiving. Have a beautiful Turkey Day!
Advent is just one week away!
If you would like to purchase an Advent wreath ($10.00) or Advent candles ($5.00), they will be available on Sunday after Masses. These items will also be available in the parish offices. (This event is bilingual.)
The Christmas Giving Trees are up in our churches!
Please select an ornament from the trees this weekend or next. Return the unwrapped gift by Sunday, December 4. All items will be given to children or families in need. Ornaments are suggestions, but you may also choose to purchase any new, age-appropriate toy or item to donate. Thank you for your participation. (This event is bilingual.)
Join us for our Christmas Coffee at Saint Thomas the Apostle!
The Hospitality Committee of Saint Thomas invites everyone to attend our “Christmas is Coming Coffee” on Sunday, December 4, after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses in the church basement. Enjoy hot coffee, a delightful menu of delicious refreshments, and Saint Thomas the Apostle’s usual brand of warm and welcoming fellowship! (This event is bilingual.)
