Greetings SAL Families!
A busy weekend for youth ministry! Fall service day Saturday was cold but fun! We raked the homes of 2 parishioners who were eternally grateful to our youth! Sunday night we had our youth penance service which was lovely! We had the most beautiful music from two of our volunteers, adoration, and the beautiful Sacrament of Reconciliation. No blog this week as there was nothing else taught in class. I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving! We look forward to seeing you December 4.
Joyfully, Christina
Upcoming Topics:
- 11/27: Happy Thanksgiving - No Edge
- 12/4: Meaning of Advent
- 12/11: Small Group Christmas Parties
- 12/18 - 1/1 - No Youth Group
Dinner: Spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic bread
Sunday is the first day of Advent and our Church's new year! Don't forget to wear purple to Mass. Take time to mark this holy season by incorporating some of the activities mentioned below! We are blessed because Christmas starts December 25 and continues through January 9th! While everyone packs up their decorations, we just begin!
Happy Thanksgiving!
- Joyfully, Christina
This year's Children's Christmas Pageant will be on DECEMBER 24 at 7 pm, just before the 7:30pm Mass.
There are two rehearsals:
- Saturday, December 10, 9am - 10:30am
- Tuesday, December 20, 6:30pm - 8pm
A few things to note when signing up:
- Both rehearsals are MANDATORY for all characters.
- Rehearsal on Dec 20 is MANDATORY for PARENTS to assist with fittings, but it would be helpful if parents attended both rehearsals to keep kids orderly.
- Please note child's clothing size in comments.
