     Today we celebrate the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary by her parents Anna and Joachim in the Temple.  Mary was such a wonderful gift from God that Anna and Joachim dedicated her to the Lord.

     I found a good article connecting the Presentation to infertility at MyCatholic.Life.   I never encountered the website before, but it looks pretty good.  The article is entitled "Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary".

     I don't recall talking much about infertility.  Several aspects of infertility are difficult to address when children are present.  The cross of infertility is also a mysterious one.

     For a good introduction that is both pastoral and true, read "Seven Considerations While Navigating Infertility".

     For a summary of morally acceptable and unacceptable treatments using medical terminology, visit "Summary: Infertility Treatments" at the National Catholic Bioethics Center.  They have lots of other good articles on infertility and other topics in bioethics.

     The two nearest really Catholic medical centers that help women with infertility and other gynecological needs are

     They use NaProTechnology which was started at the Saint Paul VI Institute by Dr. Thomas Hilgers in 1985.  Two of my friends had fertility trouble but found help at St. Peter's Gianna Center.  They now have two boys.
