Dear Holy Trinity families,
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone will have the opportunity this week to spend time with family, sharing a joyous meal, giving thanks to Almighty God for all the blessings we have received from his bounteous arm. Surely, this year has had its fair share of struggles, but let us all take the time to rejoice for all the good in our lives. It is important to develop an attitude of gratitude as an antidote to the despair and nihilism in our culture. I for one am thankful for my beautiful wife and children, and for the fact that I get to visit with my parents who have flown in from out of state for the holiday.
It is a very short week here at school, but we do have one big update to share. We now have a revised school academic logo!
It is a really beautiful design which was all done in house by our marketing team, led by Grace Ballalatak. I am very pleased with the design and I love how it brings back the explicitly Trinitarian imagery which we had as our logo prior to the HT monogram. The text at the bottom reads, “scientia, excellentia, adoratio,” or “knowledge, excellence, worship.” This motto is seen around the school in English, and I think it expresses concisely what we are about as a school. Translating it into Latin emphasizes our movement toward classical education.
This logo and branding revision stemmed from a desire among the current community members and alumni to bring back the old logo. This logo says more about who we are and more effectively visually communicates what Holy Trinity School is all about. I believe this revised logo is something that both new and longstanding community members can get behind. I am very excited about this development and I hope you are too.
May God bless you and your family this Thanksgiving. St. Cecilia, pray for us!

Thanksgiving is a wonderful American holiday wherein we tend to eat a bit too much, but feasting has been a part of human behavior since prehistoric times. This blog post dives into the history of feasting particularly in the contexts of both ancient Greece and Rome. Bon appetit!
