Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow
So many beautiful memories of past celebrations of Thanksgiving. We would begin the day by attending Mass as a family to thank God for everything he has given us. Even when times were tough, there were things that we needed to give thanks to God for. And then, we would return home to the smell of the turkey baking and final preparations for the Thanksgiving feast. The family would come, and we would be seated around a large table filled with all kinds of sumptuous food. We begin with prayer, and sometimes we share what we were thankful for. And then enjoy the time together, feasting and conversing, making more memories.
So many blessings to thank God for. That is why our forefathers began this holiday. They understood the need to thank God for everything he gave them. Our Wednesday Worship song is "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow." In some faiths, it is referred to as the Doxology, a liturgical formula for praising God.
My prayer for each of you and your families is that your Thanksgiving Day is a day of giving thanks for all of the blessings God has poured out on you. Blessings God gives to us freely and abundantly!

Next Week's Mass Schedule
Due to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School's Thanksgiving Break, Mass on Wednesday, November 23 will be held at 7:30 am.
Additionally, all are encouraged to join us for Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 24.

Dinner and a Show
All women of the parish and community are invited join the Ladies of Lourdes on Saturday, December 17, for dinner and a show! We will be heading to the Meyer Theatre to watch "A Frank's Christmas" production. We will meet at noon in the OLOL North Parking Lot to carpool to the Meyer; the show starts at 1 p.m. We will return after the show, and a hot turkey/ beef meal will be provided in the Social Hall.
If you would like a ticket to the event, please call the Parish Office at (920) 336-4033. We only have 20 spots available, so first come-first serve. Tickets are $20.
Poinsettia Delivery
The parish will be delivering poinsettia plants to our nursing home, assisted living, and homebound parishioners on Tuesday, December 6, beginning at 9:30 a.m. If you are available to help us deliver that morning, please contact Carol at the Parish Office at (920) 336-4033. This is a very rewarding and much-appreciated Advent ministry project!

Register as a table hostess for you and your seven guests by contacting the Parish Office (920) 336-4033 or kathy@lourdesdepere.org. Space is limited, so don't delay! Each table is responsible for table settings, decorations, candles, dessert, and beverages for eight ladies. Coffee and water will be provided. If you would like to attend Advent by Candlelight and are unable to host a table, please contact the Parish Office at (920) 336-4033 by Monday, November 28.
