Dear Faith Formation Families,
We hope your Thanksgiving was a time of great memories and gratitude! This weekend, the church enters a new liturgical year beginning with Advent. There are Advent prayer books, calendars and activities that are available in the Narthex of each parish, please help yourself to aid your family in celebrating this Holy Season of Christ’s love!
High rates of illness:
Please know that at ANY time your child is not feeling well, you do not have to attend Faith formation. You can simply go to the assignment sections to look for topics and homework (if you have your books at home) -or - simply join us for Zoom classes that week (even if not for your grade, I invite anyone to join in) and I will catch students up as needed. Grades 6-9 zoom is on Sundays and Grades K-5 zoom is on Tuesdays. See the home study section for zoom info.
Confirmation Year 2 students, packets come home on Sunday night 11/27 from class and those who are in Catholic school and/or won’t be joining us that evening, will have them mailed home on Monday, 11/28. Then, all the packet information will be available electronically attached to the Newsletter starting next week for anyone who loses paperwork.
Confirmation Year 1 students, what an AWESOME retreat we had last week! Wow! Anyone who did not join us, I will be emailing on Monday, 11/28 with make up retreat information. We have not been successful in matching students to outside programs so we will be offering a modified retreat experience for those who were unable to join us last week. Stay tuned for that information to be finalized.
First Reconciliation families! Your big day is Saturday, December 3rd! If you signed up to receive first confession at St Thomas More at 9am, please arrive at 8:45am. If you signed up to receive first confession at Our Lady of Lourdes at 11am, please arrive by 10:45. The service is 45minutes long. Please plan accordingly. Separate email reminders will come home in an additional email this week!
Many Blessings!
Jennifer Abdalla
