No Christmas Without Mary
We can’t have Christmas without Mary. That’s a simple fact.
Jesus absolutely could have entered into history as a fully grown man; he’s God! He could have done anything. But, the Lord chose to become a baby, a baby so weak he couldn’t even lift up his own head.
And he chose to be born into a family and through a woman, the most beautiful woman to have ever walked this earth, Mary.
From Our Lady of Guadalupe to Fatima, to Czestochowa, to her title as the Immaculate Conception, we honor Mary as the ark of the New Covenant, the vessel who bore the holy of holies in her very body.
She always points to Christ. The honor we give Mary is never solely hers. We honor her “Yes!” and we hope to imitate it.
May our Blessed Mother continue to lead us to her son Jesus Christ, now and at the hour of our death!
