Parish Update -- November 27, 2022 -- Advent Week 1

I hope you're Advent is off to a great start. I wanted to remind everyone about a few things going on during Advent and the next few weeks
iGiveCatholic -- This coming Tuesday, November 29, 2022. is Giving Tuesday As you know by now, we are raising funds to upgrade our church lights. You can donate the old-fashioned way, by check or cash. There are envelopes in the back of the Church stamped with the iGiveCatholic Logo. We can take those in the office. You can also give through the website --

Advent Men's Prayer Breakfast -- The first Advent Breakfast will be Tuesday, November 29, at 7:00 a.m. A huge thanks to Danny Setaro who will prepare breakfast for us, and Deacon John who will offer the presentation. The second and third breakfast will be on Tuesday, December 6 and 13 respectively.
Giving Tree Family Adoption -- After the 9 AM and 11:30 Masses this morning all of the cards on the tree were taken. Thank you so much to all of you for taking this on. We are so very grateful and I know those families will be as well. Please bring these gifts back to the church by December 18. Thank you!!
Immaculate Conception (Holy Day of Obligation) -- Mass at Corpus
Christi in Macon will be on Wednesday, December 7 at 5 PM. Mass at St. Joseph will be Thursday at 7 AM and 5:30 PM.
Last 5:30 Mass of the semester is next Sunday.
Parish Penance Service -- Our Advent Reconciliation Service is Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 6 PM, right after Mass.
No Daily Mass this week -- I'll be out of town Tuesday through Thursday for a conference in Houma, Louisiana. So there will be no daily Mass those days. I will be back on Friday for Mass and the weekend.
Becoming Catholic -- The next Becoming Catholic inquiry session is at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 30. The topics are Mary and the rosary. All are welcome!
The Mike Kassouf Vocation Breakfast -- The Knights of Columbus will be hosting their Vocation Pancake Breakfast Next Sunday after the 9:00 am Mass in the Parish Hall.
CYO Garage Sale -- The annual garage sale will be this Saturday, December 3rd, from 8 AM until 11:30 AM in the Parish Hall. Take this once-a-year opportunity to donate your used, but in good condition, furniture, appliances, and all sorts of household items (but no clothes please). And after making more room by donating some of your old stuff, come shop for some new-to-you items you can't do without. Donations can be dropped off Thursday, Dec. 1st, from 8:30am-5pm, and Friday, Dec. 2nd, from 8:30am-2pm. Thank you for supporting the youth of our parish.
First Saturday -- Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 am. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available 30 minutes beforehand.
St. Joseph Food Pantry -- Food Pantry will bag on Friday December 2, at 11:00 AM. Distribution will be this coming Saturday, December 3 at 9 AM. This will all be from the Parish Center. I also mentioned a Reverse Advent Calendar. Be on the lookout for this Tuesday, I will post this on our Giving Tuesday flocknote.
Saturday is going to be a little wild, but it should be an exciting day for the parish.
Parish Christmas Party -- Our Parish Christmas Party will be Sunday, December 11 at 5 PM. More to come...
