This week, we will be looking at Habakkuk’s second complaint, and God’s response. Our title is The Gospel of Habakkuk. Stay tuned to find out what all of that means! Only one person gave me feedback on the “central verse of the entire Bible.” Of course, this designation is only my opinion. But I challenge you to continue to read Habakkuk and see if you can find what I’m talking about!

We still have the baptismal for just a few more weeks. If you need to be baptized, please let me know. This is a wonderful experience for the entire church. Don’t put it
off! It is part of your obedience protocol! Jesus wants you to do this!

I want to encourage you once again to make prayer a priority in your daily life and attend prayer meetings whenever you can.
We have had some large issues this week. We had a family that was evicted with no place to go. We prayed, and the Lord opened up an even better place for them to live than they had been in!
We also need to keep praying, however, for the Naing family. There was a horrible incident in the news regarding this family this week. You can read it
here.
This is a family that Don and Connie have been reaching out to. Their two precious children, ages 8 and 10, have attended The Ridge recently. This family needs us to pray diligently for them.

There are a number of small groups of all types that many in our church are involved with. If you are not involved in a small group, but would like to be, please contact me (
jmoser@theridgfw.org) and let me know. We will find a space for you!

Church garage sale May 31-June 2. Collect your unwanted quality items!

Coming off of the success of last week, we will have another Work Day on May 5, at 9:00 again.

If you have a Facebook account, would you please go onto The Ridge’s Facebook page and give us a like? And invite your friends to do the same? Believe it or not, this is something that young people look at when they are thinking about attending a new place or event. If there are a lot of positive reviews and likes, they are far more likely to check us out.
Also, we are now live-streaming on Facebook! This means you can watch our service at home on Sunday morning (this only works if you have a valid excuse for missing!). But you can also watch it after the fact.

Jamil will host a prayer breakfast on Saturday, April 28, focusing on building a family altar of prayer for unreached people. Please plan to join us for this special event! Please note that this is not a MEN’S prayer breakfast, but is intended to host everyone in the church.
There is a sign-up in the lobby, so please let us know you are coming so that there is enough food for everyone! This is taking place a next week, so this Sunday is the last chance to sign up. You don’t absolutely have to sign up to come, but it sure will help those preparing the food to know that you are planning on being there!

Jamil will also be presenting a three-week series at the Alliance church on three successive Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:45. You’ll have time to scoot over here for the worship service afterward. The dates are April 22 (this week!), 29 and May 6.
