Inspiration: Saint Nicholas
December 6 is the feast day of Saint Nicholas. He lived in the fourth century and is the patron saint of children. Saint Nicholas was bishop of Myra (modern Turkey) and is best known for his charity. Many churches sprang up with his name in the eleventh century.
Nicholas is also the patron saint of Russia, Greece, Apulia, Sicily, and Lorraine, France. Let us pray for his intercession on behalf of the people who are impacted by the war in Ukraine.
Check out the video below to learn about some fun traditions you and your family can do to celebrate the feast of Saint Nicholas.
Jolly ole' Saint Nicholas, lean your ear this way and intercede on our behalf to our Lord and Savior, Friend and Brother, Jesus Christ, to bless all children, young and old, throughout the world, especially those impacted by the war in Ukraine. Amen.
