AMBC family,
This Christmas we would like to have the teen group experience a progressive dinner. The teens would visit 4 or 5 different homes, eat a course of a meal, and hear a piece of the Bible regarding Jesus’ birth and what the Christmas season is all about.
In order to do this, we need 4 families/houses to volunteer to host us on the evening of Sunday, December 18th. The progressive dinner will take place from 4 pm to 8 pm; however, we will only be at each house for about 30 minutes. We expect to have about 15 to 20 teens and 4 adults. Each house would only provide one course of a whole meal and share with the students a part of the story of Jesus’ birth. We need a house for each of the following: soup/salad, the main course with sides (maybe two families could work together for this), dessert, and hot chocolate. We can be creative to make room: bringing tables and chairs from the church, sitting outside, or whatever else you can come up with. You do not need to have a child in the youth group to participate.
We would like to keep this a surprise for the students, who will know they are meeting at the church but not know why. We would love to show the teens how much the church loves them and cares about them!
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for this event, please contact Kelly Meek at 281-714-7795.
Thank you for your help and happy holidays!
