To all the volunteers, parents, teens and helpers,
After a lot of prayer and consideration, I have accepted an offer to work for the Diocese of Tyler, Texas. We will be relocating to Nacogdoches, the oldest city in our home state and will be living within a few hours to each set of our children’s grandparents and lake houses. This move will be so bittersweet for our family.
This OLL community has been so gracious and generous to our whole family. From the time that we arrived, all the way through the day of our new kids’ adoption, we have been shown nothing but kindness and a warm welcome to this beautiful life we leave behind here. Many pivotal details came together on the feast day of St Bernadette this week, a day we will always remember that we got our Lourdes’ kids in Melbourne, Florida. Thank you all for all the love that you have shown us. Please do stay in touch & reach out if you should ever visit Texas. We will back to visit every year.
My official start date will be May 14, which came as an unfortunate surprise to have to leave so soon. I will be working as a business manager in assistance to Fr George Elliot, a young priest who now oversees Sacred Heart of Jesus, a university campus ministry and two mission Churches. Thank you again for everything. This has been a beautiful chapter of our lives with you all.
I have grown in a lot of ways in my ministry here at OLL. I will always treasure this time an how God put us here for so many reasons, not the least of which are our two newest children. I will be finishing out the Confirmation groups this year. God bless Y'all!
