Hey there!
I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving and are enjoying this start to the Advent season. This Sunday we'll continue exploring the Sacraments of Initiation by focusing on the Eucharist. We'll start in the social hall for a little discussion and then we'll move to the church to experientially discover the Eucharist through Adoration. Parents and all parishioners are welcome to join us. :)
YM Christmas Party // December 11
On our last meeting of 2022, we'll be having a Christmas party! Each small group will share in a meal together, decorate their own Christmas tree, and participate in Christmas-y games and activities. It's going to be a lot of fun! :D
Gingerbread House Making Contest // December 14
Everyone is invited to come make a gingerbread house on December 14! Come for the fun, but we're sweetening the deal with prizes too! Please register for this event online by clicking the button. You can also read all of the details for the event there too. The deadline to sign up for this event is December 9.
Treasure Box Activity
If you're following along with the short activities that your family can do together with the items from the scavenger hunt, here's the next activity:
Liturgy of the Word: The symbol card reminds us of the words that we use when the living Word of God comes to us each week in the first and second readings, the psalm and the gospel. We respond “Thanks be to God” because even though the message is sometimes hard, we rejoice because we know that God is speaking to us right then with a message for us when we listen with our hearts! Grab the family Bible or open a Bible app and read a few verses or a favorite parable and respond “thanks be to God” when you are done reading.
Talent Show Coming Up!
We will be having a parish talent show on February 6... but we can't do it without talented people like you! Music, singing, magic, dance, martial arts, poetry, famous speeches, skits... whatever your talent is, we want to see it! Let us know if you'd like to participate! :)
