Hey there!
This Sunday is our Christmas party! Each small group will share in their own home-y Christmas traditions like having a meal together, decorating their own Christmas tree, hanging their stockings by their classroom "fireplace", participating in Christmas-y games and activities, and even having a gift exchange! Students don't need to bring anything for this event, but they can absolutely dress in their Christmas-y best! :)

After this Sunday, we do not meet again for YM until January 8. Enjoy your Christmas break! :)
Gingerbread House Making Contest // December 14
Everyone is invited to come make a gingerbread house on December 14! Come for the fun, but we're sweetening the deal with prizes too! The deadline to sign up for this event was today at 3:00. If you missed it and would like to participate, please let me know before Monday. :)
Treasure Box Activity
If you're following along with the short activities that your family can do together with the items from the scavenger hunt, here's the next activity:
Liturgy of the Eucharist: During the Liturgy of the Eucharist there is A LOT going on and the prayer is long and we sometimes get distracted, but basically we bring our offering to the altar and ask God to join it together with Christ’s offering, to bless it and make it enough for us to go out and serve others. Our offering consists of the money we put in the collection basket, all that we have done well during the week and times that we have fallen short. Ask your middle schooler what the cookie is all about. Maybe bake a batch of cookies together sometime this week and look at all of the ingredients and how a good baker can make a strange list of ingredients into something delicious. Share the cookies with a neighbor.
Talent Show Coming Up!
We will be having a parish talent show on February 6... but we can't do it without talented people like you! Music, singing, magic, dance, martial arts, poetry, famous speeches, skits... whatever your talent is, we want to see it! Let us know if you'd like to participate! :)
