Dear Friends, this coming Sunday is one of the most joyous Sundays of the year at St Mark’s, and two of our favorite traditions are coming back again.
Sunday at 10AM
The Crèche Service
The music, the angels, the donkeys, the poems—the whole Christmas story told in a very special way.
Gift-giving to the families of the Food Bank is a traditional part of this event—and we have been asked to do so through gift cards (~$25 denominations are perfect) to Target or Walmart. The gift cards allow the parents of the children to purchase their own gifts to give to them.
Sunday from 11AM—4PM
The Morley’s Open House (in the Parish Hall)
Karen’s tomato soup, Maureen’s cookies, Rick’s special drinks… come and enjoy some Christmas fellowship anytime between 11AM and 4PM. Just drop in.
If you’re looking for a time that is “less crowded”—that’s usually between 1 and 2PM.
Sunday at 4PM
The Walk to Bethlehem
We begin at 4PM at St James, and then the walk continues down the street to St Mark’s, Bishop Janes Methodist, and Basking Ridge Presbyterian—it’s an ecumenical festival of music and lessons which tell the story of the birth of Christ.
