Just a reminder that we do not meet for YM again until January 8. You'll get a break from my emails over the Christmas break, so I'm going to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year now! May God bless you and your family as we head into 2023!
Here are a few things that are coming up in January and beyond! :)
Blessing of the Home
On January 8, our first meeting of 2023, your child will bring home a kit that you can use to bless your home as it is tradition in our Catholic faith to bless our homes on Epiphany.
Family Game Night + Euchre Tournament
We're having a game night on January 20! Bring your family to play board games and bingo! We'll provide the sloppy joes! At 7:00 PM, we'll start the Euchre tournament. Sign you and your partner up today! :)
Treasure Box Activity
If you're following along with the short activities that your family can do together with the items from the scavenger hunt, here's the next activity:
The Bible: We spent last year diving into the Bible and discovering how the stories, though ancient, apply to our lives today. The Bible booklet represents the Bible. When we open the pages of the Bible, God is speaking to us right at that moment and through those pages, God’s great love for us is revealed. If your family does not have a Bible purchase one this week and if you do have one that sits on a shelf, pull it out and put it on a table so that it is a reminder of the role you are playing every day in God’s great love story for all people of all time.
