Holy Cross shares with great sadness the death of 5 beloved parishioners during this past month.
Thelma M. Ryan: Died December 2. Her graveside service was December 7th.

Patricia Ceasy Healey: Died December 22nd. Her Funeral Mass was today at Holy Cross for the family. She was the mother of parishioner Mary Driskill.

Teresa McCarthy: Died December 23rd. Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 31st at 11am here at Holy Cross. She was the wife of Paul McCarthy.

James W. Harris: Died Dec 24th. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at Holy Cross. A funeral service will be held following the visitation starting at 11:00 am. A reception will follow.

Elaine Jackson: Died December 26th. Her funeral Mass will be January 14th at 11am at Holy Cross followed by a reception. Her obituary will be forthcoming.

St Joseph of Arimathea Cemetery Ministry Update
We would like to remind everyone that Holiday cleanup will begin at the cemetery in mid January. Wreaths and seasonal flowers will be removed if still present. Flowers in acceptable vases, attached to the headstone or plaques may remain.
Also, be reminded that our maintenance crews have begun removing plantings of flowers, bushes, including overgrown boxwoods, and will continue over the next several months until all such items have been removed per rules and regulations.
Thank You for your continued cooperation and supporting the ministries efforts to keep our beautiful property beautiful.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.
