Hello, Everyone!
This group has been studying up a storm about seeds & growing things!
Together we read stories, investigated & counted seeds...
Our outside garden is showing signs of growth: Radishes have sprouted!
Each child prepared a planter & sowed Marigolds.
Along with this theme of growing & planting, work on a surprise project has begun.
Sorry! That's all I can tell you about that.
Speaking of growing ...waiting...watching...The Butterfly Chrysalis are changing . Today was day # 8 since the caterpillars spun their cocoon. It takes 7 -10 days for them to develop into a butterfly. (It better
not happen over the weekend!)
Thank you so much for the tasty snacks provided this week!
Looking ahead:The next week will find us celebrating moms.
The following week we are celebrating friends! And before you know it our last day of preschool is here. :-0
Before we part ways for the Summer,
we want to have
a field trip to Marr Park to see" Turtles - The Secret of the Shell",
on Monday, May 21!
A School Bus will pick us up @ 9a.m. at St.James to take us there. We will see , hear about & get our hands on some Turtle things.
Pam Holz, the Washington Co. Naturalist will share information about Turtles.
I guess, there's even a Giant See Turtle shell kids can crawl into...
We will leave Marr Park at 10:30. The bus will bring us back to St.James in time for dismissal.
Of course parents & other brave grown-ups are invited to join us on this outing! Let me know if you want to come along! Thank you!
The last day of preschool , May 22, will be a celebration of a fun year of growing & learning together:
Fun In The Sun Day. After prayer children will prepare a special snack together.
Then time will be spent outside playing games with friends, having the snack, taking all projects home and ...saying our good byes.
Again: If anyone would like to play with us that day you are welcome to do so!
Mrs. Mac & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
