Please keep in your prayers Pope Benedict XVI, who passed away at age 95 on December 31, 2022. Along with his predecessor, Pope St. John Paul II, he was one of the most influential members of the Church in the world during the latter part of the 20th Century.
O God, true shepherd of all the faithful, look with kindness on your servant Pope Benedict XVI, whom you set as head and shepherd of your Church.
We give you thanks for your grace at work in him as he has led us by word and example: in his teaching, in his prayer, and in his great love.
Grant him your strength in frailty, comfort in sorrow, and serenity amid the trials of this world; and guide your Church, built on the rock of Peter, with the power of your Spirit as we continue on the path that leads to you.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
This new year of 2023 is a very special year in the life of Visitation Parish – we celebrate our 75th Anniversary Jubilee!
In the coming months, we will be celebrating both of these joyous occasions with a variety of events. The first will be a catered Communion Breakfast on January 29th, recognizing our parish volunteers. Although this is a FREE event, we are requiring reservations so that we can tell the caterers how many to expect. Please call the Rectory office at 732-477-0028 or use the QR code below to make your reservation.
There will also be a list of upcoming activities – something for everyone! We invite and encourage you all to join in these celebrations. It is because of you – your time, generosity and prayers – over the years that have brought us to this important milestone. Help us to celebrate with one another and with our Lord. May He continue to bless each of us and the Church of the Visitation with His wisdom and peace!
