Middle School Play
“How to Survive Being in a Shakespeare Play”
Grades 6-8
Not many characters survive in a Shakespeare play. If your name is on the title of the play and it said “tragedy” – your toast. How could things turn out differently for our Shakespeare friends? This fun and lighthearted comedy offers tips to many well-known Shakespearean characters on how to survive.
Turn that tragedy upside down.
Tryouts for the play will be Tuesday, January 24 and Thursday, January 26 from 3:00 – 4:30. A rehearsal schedule will be forthcoming with rehearsals taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The performances will be Friday, April 14.
Now is your chance to be Lady Macbeth, Cesar, Romeo or Juliet and actually live through the experience. Watch for an email with a link to a Signup Genius to reserve your audition time.
Middle School Parents. This year's Middle School Play is all volunteer driven. We could use your help with props, costumes, sets and rehearsals – please call or text Mark Buchholz at 714.504.4015. We will also be sending out a volunteer link to a Signup Genius shortly.

Kid's Screen
Calling all Preschool through 2nd grade parents! We will be sending home a permission slip, and FACTS form to sign your child up for their Kid's Screen. This is the second year that we are inviting back the Marion Downs Center to have your child's hearing, vision, and development screened. As your children grow, they are ever changing. It is essential to have them screened every year in these areas as to detect any impacts on their learning, and development as soon as possible. These are screenings that are not done by pediatricians with their annual wellness check.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your teacher, Mary Tellus the director of the preschool, maryt@stthomasmore.org, or Kaaryn Berges, kaarynb@stthomasmore.o.... We want to highly encourage every student in this age group to be screened. ___________________________________________________________________________

The following kids competed at the meet: Sara Jane Ahern, Alina Bates, Hailey Fete, Isabella Fitzmartin, Addison Gauthreaux, Ally Hartmann, Tatum Hunter, Charlotte Krager, Mackenzie Lancaster, Liam McAlpine, Lilly Vanpraag and Mary Kate Wilson.
