International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracle
designed by Carlos Acutis

Enjoy the most comprehensive exhibition about the Eucharistic Miracles around the world designed and created by Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006).
The exhibition will be located in the Narthex of St. Mark Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive. Sunday, January 15 to Sunday, January 29, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Come to know more about the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis and how his love for the Eucharist inspired him to travel and collect information about the Eucharistic Miracles approved by the Catholic Church. This event will increase your faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. These miracles show our Father’s great love for us for giving his only Son so we can have life in abundance every time we receive Communion.

Jesus Christ entered the waters of baptism not out of need, but to stand in solidarity with mankind. He also shows us that the sacrament of baptism is the principle way in which we receive His grace and mercy. Want to take a closer look at baptism, look at the bulletin or open the attached document.
How many of you celebrate your baptismal day? We all should. It is the most important day of our lives. It marks our new life in Jesus Christ.

Help is needed replenishing the Plano Overnight Warming Station clothes closet. Both new and used clothing are needed as indicated below. Marked containers will be located on a table in the Narthex for your donations. Your help providing these items for our unhoused neighbors is greatly appreciated.

New Day Grief Support Gatherings
Begins Thursday, January 26

New Day Grief Support will be offered on Thursday afternoons, from 1:00pm – 2:45pm, beginning January 26 and continuing for 9 consecutive weeks through March 30. The weekly gatherings will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist, Smyth Pastoral Center, Library Conference Room #105, 1100 W. 15th Street., Plano, TX 75075.
New Day Grief Support is for anyone who has lost a loved one to death. Participants work through the tasks of grief in an atmosphere of caring and understanding. The cost is $20.00 to cover the cost of the workbooks. If you have any questions, you may contact Kathy Keenan at kukeenan@verizon.net, or the parish office by calling 972.423.5600, ext. 232. We ask that you please pre-register.

Play With Me Program
begins first week in February
The Center for Children and Families at the University of Texas at Dallas invites parents with children ages 0 to 3 to participate in the Play with Me program. This is a free 12-week program that seeks to promote positive parent-child relationships and foster optimal child development. The group meets on Wednesdays from 10 am to 11:30 a.m. Sessions include conversations about parenting and child development, games, group activities, music, and more. Faith and Grief
Wednesday, February 1, at 12:00 noon
All men and women grieving the death of a loved one are invited to attend monthly Faith and Grief gatherings. Come and experience a supportive environment and care, comfort, and confidentiality with others who understand grief and loss. Discussion and sharing are led by trained facilitators. Our Lady of Angels and St. Mark parishes collaborate to offer this grief support to our communities. Gatherings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at noon and a light lunch will be served; donations to cover the cost will be accepted. You may choose to attend once (to check it out) or more often for on-going grief support.

Golden Treasures Game Day
Friday, February 10
St. Mark’s Golden Treasures game day will be on Friday, February 10, from 2pm- 4pm. We will have cards, dominos, and board games. If there is a game you like to play, you are welcome to bring it. We ask that you bring your favorite afternoon snack to share.

Baptism Preparation Class Volunteers Needed The Parish Life office is in need of volunteers, preferably married couples, to assist with our newly formatted baptism preparation class. The two-hour class for parents and godparents will be held from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on the first Tuesday of the month in English and the 2nd Tuesday of the month in Spanish. Training will provided.

¡Play With Me!
El Centro de Niños y Familias de la Universidad de Texas en Dallas invita a los padres con niños de 0 a 3 años a participar del programa Play with Me. Este es un programa gratuito de 12 semanas que busca fomentar las relaciones padre-hijo positivas y fomentar el desarrollo óptimo de los niños. El grupo se reúne los miércoles de 10 am a 11:30 am. Las sesiones incluyen conversaciones acerca de la crianza y el desarrollo del niño, juegos, actividades en grupo, música y más.

Se Necesitan Voluntarios para la Clase de Preparación para el Bautismo La oficina de Vida Parroquial necesita voluntarios, preferiblemente parejas casadas, para ayudar con nuestro nuevo formato de clase de preparación para el bautismo. La clase de dos horas para los padres y padrinos se llevará a cabo de 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm el primer martes de cada mes en Inglés y el segundo martes del mes en español. Se proveerá entrenamiento.
