El Llamado implica conversión, cambio.
Este domingo las lecturas van encaminadas con un tono podríamos decir, misionero, vocacional, cambio de vida, llamado de atención, revisar nuestro ser como bautizados. Y es que nuestro bautismo es para una misión específica, como es la salvación dada por Cristo en la Cruz y con su resurrección que nos recuerda que camina con nosotros y entre nosotros.
El objetivo es la evangelización y esto es algo que compete a todos los bautizados, nuestra misión es extender el Reino de Dios, llevarlo a los lugares y personas que lo necesitan y a los que no lo conocen también. Estamos siendo interpelados hoy por este evangelio de San Mateo, deja eso que crees que es lo más importante y sígueme, mira que estoy a tu puerta y te estoy llamando por tu nombre.
Por esto mismo , porque nos aprecia, desea un fruto para nuestra vida completamente distinto del que nos afanamos o por el cual nos desvivimos. Es duro dejar las redes con las que estamos acostumbrados a salir adelante según los parámetros exclusivos del mundo. Es difícil, ante otras miradas más influyentes y seductoras, captar aquella otra mirada de Jesús más humilde y, por otra parte, más interpelante.
Al escuchar el evangelio de este día, nuestro bautismo, se vuelve a actualizar. No es algo del pasado. No es una gracia muerta. El bautismo, ante la llamada del Señor, nos invita a tomar partido: estamos llamados a ser testigos de Jesús. ¿Cómo serlo? ¿Cómo hacerlo? En principio por el camino de la conversión. O conversión…o más de lo mismo. Es decir; mediocridad antes que santidad.
Nuestro llamado está presente, démosle una respuesta y si no lo consideramos así, miremos a nuestro alrededor y preguntémonos , ¿hay necesidad de mis manos, de mi vida? ¿Será que no quiero desacomodarme,incomodarme? hay muchos que necesitan nuestras manos bondadosas y nuestros corazones llenos del amor de Dios. Meditemos si mi misión se está llevando a cabo, si estoy cumpliendo con mi bautismo.
La gracia de la salvación ha llegado hoy, Dios sigue pensando en mí como un hombre o mujer que debe extender el Reino de Dios. No nos hagamos esperar, después puede ser muy tarde. Que hoy le diga a Dios, aquí estoy Señor para hacer tu voluntad.

EVANGELIZATION UPDATE
The first step on the OLG Pathway to Discipleship is the Discover Christ Series which begins on January 25. We are thrilled to have over 100 registered members to take this first step.
Please lift up these parishioners in your prayers that they may find answers to their questions and encounter the Love of God in a life changing way. Also, continue to pray for our Evangelization Era at OLG, as we journey with one another to Discover, Follow, and Share Christ. There are Evangelization prayer cards in the church pews for you to take.
