2023 Priest Dinner
Together with our neighbors at All Saints, we are continuing the wonderful tradition of providing dinner for our priests living at the All Saints rectory. Church of St. Michael will be providing dinner on the second, and when applicable, the fifth Wednesday of each month. If you would like to participate, please click the volunteer button and choose from the open dates. Additional details will be sent in a confirmation email. Please keep this email for future reference & add your date to your calendar as the Flocknote system does not automatically send a reminder. PILGRIMAGE MARY
Have you had the opportunity to have Pilgrim Mary at your home? Are you willing to pray the rosary each day with Mary? Sign up below to have Pilgrimage Mary at your home for a week.
Pilgrimage Mary
We are blessed to once again offer you an opportunity to have the statue of the Blessed Mother in your home for a week. The small statue of Mary travels in a suitcase with a few rosaries and rosary guides for adults & children included. While Mary is in your home, please pray the rosary each day. Many parishioners have prayed the rosary as a family, some have gathered with friends. The statue is available for pick up in the Chapel Sacristy on Sunday morning beginning at 9:00am, it should be returned to the Chapel Sacristy on the following Sunday before the start of the 8:00am Mass. Please note: if you know someone who is not able to access this sign up on-line we are happy to assist them in signing up for an available week. Have them call the parish office. Please add your reservation to your calendar and keep your confirmation email as flocknote is not able to send you a reminder of your reservation.

Friday Holy Hour 9:00AM - 10:00AM every week after Mass in the sanctuary.
Rosary begins at 8:05AM & Mass begins at 8:30AM.

Jesus waits for us in the Blessed Sacrament. He waits for our little Acts of faith, adoration, love, thanksgiving, repentance, reparation and charity that we can offer Him as we contemplate -- His Divine Majesty -- in the Blessed Sacrament.
Possibly consider a new New Year’s Resolution?
Here at Church of St. Michael we have several opportunities a month for Eucharistic Adoration: every Friday 9:00AM (after morning Mass) and/or 1st Friday Adoration on the first Friday of each month, beginning immediately after the 8:30AM Mass (9:00AM) until 9:00PM. If you are able to commit to “Come spend time with Jesus” for a one-hour time slot through 2023 or if you have any questions about 1st Friday Adoration, please contact Connie Fifarek (612-269-5901). Time slots needing commitment for 2023 are: 10:00-11:00am, 12:00-1:00pm, 2:00-3:00pm, 6:00-7:00pm, 7:00-8:00pm. Please pray about considering filling one of the above times.
If unable to commit to a specific time slot, please feel free to stop into the Chapel for any amount of time…He is waiting for you.

Lectio: Salvation
At every Sunday Mass, Catholics confess that Jesus came down from Heaven “for us men and our salvation.” However, were you to take a poll, many people may find it difficult to say precisely what is meant by this word “salvation.” Drawing upon Scripture, Dr. Michael Barber of Franciscan University and Augustine Institute in 10 video presentations will explain what salvation is, and what it is not. This study is born out of the recognition that to misunderstand salvation is to fail to fully understand who the Savior is.

Thriving Where You’re Planted: Benedictine Stability in a Rootless Time
In the last decade, authors like Rod Dreher and Patrick Henry have portrayed The Rule of Benedict as an antidote for the ills of our society. These authors often single out the virtue of stability: the choice to identify and remain with one community. In today's extremely mobile culture, Benedict shows the wisdom of putting down roots. This presentation will examine how stability can be a gift for contemporary American Christians. We will examine what Benedict taught about stability as well as how one particular community - the Trappist martyrs of Tibhirine, Algeria -- help us to understand stability as an antidote to fear and division today.
