Greetings St. Clare Family,
The St. Leo's Lenten Lunch Project begins Ash Wednesday, February 22, for six weeks during Lent. Donation drop offs will take place the weekend before each Wednesday lunch during Masses in the Austin Portico, inside the church by the Family Room, or anytime at the Parish Office during business hours. We are excited to support the new facility on Woodward near the Cathedral. We will collect financial donations for the weekly protein, canned goods, dry goods, desserts, and Chinet Dinner plates to support the meal. You may also sign-up to prep, serve and clean on one of the six Wednesdays. Please use the Flocknote sign-up system below, on our webpage or in the bulletin to register.
The main dish will be prepared at the Soup Kitchen. Your financial contribution will purchase the protein for the main dish. You can still make homemade cookies and brownies if you wish. We will also collect nonperishable food items to support the lunches being provided.
Checks may be made out to St. Clare Church with St. Leo’s in the memo line. Cash and checks may be placed in a marked envelope in the collection basket. Also, you may pay through WeShare, our Parish electronic giving site using the St. Leo’s Lunch Project fund.
There are different ways to bring your donations to St. Clare. You may bring your donations to Mass and place them in large boxes by the Family Room or in boxes in the Austin Portico. Items may also be dropped at the Parish Offices during normal hours. Thank you for your support in providing high quality meals to our guests at St. Leo's Soup Kitchen.
