January 17-19
We had the opportunity to watch the snow fall this week!!! I tried to bring some inside so we could look at it under magnifying glasses however it melted very fast so all we had was water. We did talk about how the flakes look more like tiny snowballs and it looked very white outside as they were falling from the sky.
Their fine motor activity this week was making colorful snowflakes using pipe cleaners and beads. They had to twist 3 pipe cleaners together and then they strung beads on each of the pipe cleaner ends.
Finger/hand painting is by far their favorite way to paint! They all love getting their hands covered in paint and some like to cover their arms as well.
Ms. Jo visited us from the Washington Public Library for stories and songs! We love Ms. Jo!
Washington County Public Health visited us on Wednesday! Everyone was so brave and let them look at their teeth and let them paint fluoride on them!

Prayers & Pancakes
To celebrate Catholic Schools Week we have Prayers & Pancakes on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. An adult is welcome to attend with each child and enjoy a pancake breakfast together.
Our class does not partake in morning prayers as we are in specials during that time, however if the adult attending would like to go to prayers with the students they are welcome to do so.
Prayers will begin at 8:10 a.m. in Tobin Hall. The students will come to the classroom first to check in and hang up their coats & backpacks; adults are welcome to leave their belongings in our classroom as well.
Those not attending prayers will continue our normal routine until 8:20 a.m. At that time we will say our snack prayer in the classroom and then go to the pancake breakfast. Adults are welcome to be part of our morning routine in the classroom before pancakes.
Every child will participate in the pancake breakfast. The cost is $5 per person and it will be deducted from the student's snack account.
