TIMES OF REFRESHING

GREETINGS FELLOW SINNERS!
Disturbing, isn’t it?
The admission of guilt or sinfulness always shakes our egos. After all, our minds have been conditioned that we “always” do what is correct and right. Sadly, even when we realize that what we have done is wrong, we always manage to either gloss over it or justify our actions with some flimsy excuse.
The TRUTH of the Lord “cuts like a two-edged sword” and exposes the layers of lies, excuses, and justifications that we have chosen to keep hidden.
Indeed, our GOSPEL today screams one of the most important messages to us, “REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR”.

ACCEPTANCE OF OUR SINFULNESS IS LIBERATING!
! As we live our lives, we constantly find ourselves committing errors or even sins that oftentimes cause pain and sorrow to our loved ones or those who are merely “collateral victims”. Our selfish nature and belief in our infallibility prevent us from admitting the sins we have committed. Without our knowledge, this mistaken belief will continue to “load us up” with a heaviness that undermines the freedom to enjoy a clean conscience.
