SABBATICAL UPDATE
Last weekend I was very moved by the outpouring of support and encouragement that many of you shared regarding my upcoming sabbatical. It has been a privilege to see so many of you grow as disciples, experiencing the personal love that Jesus has for you. After my short time away, I look forward to continuing for many years to help all in our parish become fruitful disciples.
By the desk in the Gathering Space, there is a container where you can share with me your prayer requests. I will take these with me during my time away, doing the most important thing for you that I can do: interceding on your behalf.
I am also pleased to announce that Fr. Steve Dombrowski, a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago, will be temporarily coming to Our Lady of Ransom to provide Fr. John with some additional support and sacramental coverage while I'm away. Fr. Steve is an experienced priest of the Archdiocese. Last fall, he was on his own six-month sabbatical. He will begin his next assignment on July 1. In the interim, is happy to help at our parish.
When he arrives, please offer your hospitality and gratitude for taking the time to serve our community.
While I'm away, Fr. John and our staff will continue to send out this Ransomed eNewsletter every Friday. With it you'll be able to keep updated on everything happening at Our Lady of Ransom.
Again, thank you for all your support and prayers for my sabbatical.
- Fr. Matt
