In the bulletin and on our website, you will find information regarding our process of merging our two parishes into one canonical entity, a brand new parish. We are some of the very last parishes in the Diocese of Pittsburgh to undertake this process. Parish Assemblies

The purpose of the Parish Assembly is to provide an overview of the reasons for the process, the elements that have gone into it, and the vision for the future. Our Parish Assemblies with take place on:

Monday, January 30, 2023 at 6:30 in Holy Sepulcher Church.
The recording from the January 23rd assembly is available on our YouTube channel.

The same material will be presented at both meetings and each meeting is to last no more than one hour.

On Going Process of Selecting a Name for Our New Parish

As you know there are several phases in the process of obtaining a name for our new parish. The initial phase involved an opportunity for parishioners to suggest names to be considered. 303 individual submissions were received. Using the criteria that were published by the Diocese, the Combined Parish Pastoral Council met and had a full discussion of the names. The Pastoral Council then recommended submitting 12 names to the Bishop for a “preapproval.” The Bishop has pre-approved all twelve names that were submitted. They are listed on our website

The next phase will run until Midnight, January 31, 2023. During that time, registered parishioners are invited to prioritize the list below. The Pastoral Council will review these and compile the final submission of five names (in order of preference). The Bishop will make the final selection from our submitted list of five.

We have chosen Surveymonkey and the means by which prioritization should be made. If a parishioner is unable to do by means of this online form, please phone the parish office and someone will assist you by completing and submitting the form for you.

THAT MAN IS YOU! STARTS TOMORROW (January 26th)

Join over 40 men each week for an opportunity to grow in faith and to share in some great fellowship. The Spring semester of Man Is You! begins on January 26, 2023. The theme for this year is The Fight of Faith.

The 13 week Spring semester meets Thursday Mornings from 6 am to 7:30 am in Saint Kilian Church Hall. If you are up extra early, a brief Communion Service is held in Church at 5:45 am! We start the morning at 6 am with time for coffee and socializing followed by opening prayer and remarks. Together we watch the week's TMIY video, which lasts about 30 minutes. We conclude with an opportunity for small group discussion and closing comments. Consider joining other men from our parishes.

THE CHOSEN

Are you watching The Chosen? If you have not seen this series, you’ll want to join us! If you are currently viewing season three, revisit the first two seasons! The Chosen is the first multi-season television series about the life of Christ, as witnessed through the eyes of those who knew him. Saint Kilian and Holy Sepulcher Parishes will be offering a “Watch and Discuss” series for seasons one and two. In our first 8-week program we will view each episode from season one and discuss the video, including a Catholic perspective. There are two opportunities to join this series:

• Mondays - February 6^th to April 3^rdfrom 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Holy Sepulcher Church (no session February 20^th)

• Wednesdays - February 8^th to April 5^th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at Saint Kilian Church (no session February 22^nd).
