St. Leo's Lenten Lunch Project 2023
St. Leo’s Lunch Project is up and running! Sign-up is virtual on Flocknote. Most of you received a text message or email explaining the process and guiding you to the sign-up forms. Once you sign-up for items to donate, you will receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions. Thank you for participating in this online sign-up, it is a wonderful tool.
Financial contributions will purchase protein for the main dish. Parishioners can still make homemade cookies and brownies. Nonperishable food items such as rice, pasta, canned green beans, corn, and Italian dressing are needed to support the lunch program at the new SLSK home at the Center for the Works of Mercy. Sign-up today online. If you are unable to sign-up online, please feel free to email or call me.
Checks may be made out to St. Clare Church with St. Leo’s in the memo line. Cash and checks may be placed in a marked envelope in the collection basket. Also, you may pay through WeShare, our Parish electronic giving site using the St. Leo’s button.

WE NEED YOUR THOUGHTS

Our parish hall is moving closer to completion with a completely new look and a fully functional kitchen. This renovation will be instrumental in allowing us to better serve our parish, school and the surrounding community.
Over the years, the space has been referred to as the parish hall, social hall, basement, downstairs and perhaps even other names. The question is, should we give it a name?
St. Ambrose has the Ark. St Joan of Arc has the Parish Center. Star of the Sea has The Pointe.
So here are a couple of questions:
- Should we name our parish space? Yes/No, Why?
- What should we name it?

Funds raised support ministries, programs, and services throughout Southeast Michigan. Monies that exceed our goal stay at our parish. St. Clare school itself is a recipient of CSA funds. For over a decade the school has received an AOD grant that supports operations. Prayerfully consider giving to CSA. If we all give what we are able we can meet our goal!
Al Anon ACA Meetings
“Friends in Recovery”
The Al Anon ACA meets on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. in the church rectory. The group follows the 12 steps for adult children from addictive and other dysfunctional families. For help finding meetings or recovery support for yourself or a loved one, please call 866-641-9190 or visit the Al Anon website.
A Prayer for Vocations
God our Father, You made each of us to use our gifts in the Body of Christ.
We ask that You inspire young people whom You call to the priesthood, consecrated life and permanent diaconate to courageously follow Your will. Send workers into Your great harvest so that the Gospel is preached, the poor are served with love, the suffering are comforted, and Your people are strengthened by the sacraments
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen
