Hello everyone!

We explored the Liturgy of the Word by acting out that part of the Mass in the church last Sunday. This Sunday, we'll be back in our small groups, focusing on the Liturgy of the Eucharist and all the meaning that is packed into that special part of the Mass.

We're supposed to be getting snow this weekend, so I want to remind everyone that in the case of inclement weather and the roads are deemed unsafe, I will send out a Flocknote to let you know if YM has been canceled before 5:00 PM. Hopefully the roads will be normal by Sunday evening. :)

Blessed Sacrament has a new Children's Choir!

Does your child like to sing and/or want to participate in the Mass in a special way? Joining the Children's Choir is a great way for your chlid to use his/her talents to help add to the beauty of our Masses! All kids second grade through Middle School are invited! If your child is interested in participating, please let me know!

Box Full of Love Event // February 7

Is there a young adult or college student or two (or three) that you would like to send a little LOVE to this Valentine’s Day? If so, please join us on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 for our yearly “Box Full of Love” event.

Here is how it works: Blessed Sacrament will buy a shoe box sized mailing box and a Valentine’s Day card for each recipient. Then each participant brings an item for 10 boxes: 10 cookies OR 10 candy bars OR 10 fruit snacks OR 10 mini muffins OR 10 little toys. If you need to make more than one box then please bring 10 items for each. Our kids will end up with items from 10 different families who love them and are praying for them!

Talent Show // February 10

Looking for a unique family-friendly night out? Join us for our parish talent show on February 10 at 6:00 PM! There will be a variety of acts including singing, harp-playing, a fencing demonstration, comedy, dance, skits, and more! Come support your parish family members! Please RSVP online if you would like to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.

Treasure Box Activity

The Holy Trinity: We believe in one God with three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We try to explain the Holy Trinity in a variety of ways. We say that the Trinity is like a shamrock or the three phases of water, but nothing can adequately capture the mystery that it is. It is important to note, that when Catholics say “mystery” we don’t mean “something to be analyzed and solved,” but rather, we believe a mystery is something we enter into and allow to become part of us and draw us closer to God. The shamrock leaf in your box represents the trinity and the love that exists between Father, Son and Holy Spirit… this same love that exists between us, God (all three persons) and one another. No matter how big or small your prayer is, remember to begin and end it “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
