Parish Update 2/1/23 

Brothers and Sisters in Christ  

  

Once again, thank you for all your prayers and support as we work to rebuild our community of St. Hyacinth.  
 

We continue to have a lot of work to do.  

  

The contractors are still on the Church complex grounds and are continuing to assess the damage to the Church complex buildings as well as continuing to remove debris from the complex. This work will be ongoing.  

 

The contractors are working diligently to repair the roofs of the Rectory and the Guyot Hall. There was considerable damage to both buildings.  

Even though the complex has power, thanks to the generators, there are significant issues to the facilities that are currently being addressed. Guyot Hall has power, however, the HVAC systems to the complex have been damaged due to the tornado and will have to be replaced.  The rectory has power; however, it does not have heat.  
   

We currently do not have any Church systems in place. We are working to implement a plan of action for a temporary office. In the meantime, please be patient as we move to get back online with the parish systems.  

 

We are planning for the Sunday 10:00 am Mass to continue this week, However, All other parish activities have been postponed. 

 

In the meantime as well, I ask everyone to please continue to support St. Hyacinth. The Tornado has gone away, but the tornado did not stop the bills. 

   

I am asking everyone to please continue to pray for St. Hyacinth and the people of Deer Park as we move to recovery.

Special thank you to Mrs. Pitman and Church Chior for their wonderful music for the Mass that was held last Sunday. We we are looking forward to the celebration of the the Sunday 10:00 AM mass this weekend.
