I am writing this with a heavy heart. My Dad was hit by a car yesterday as he was crossing the street next to St Boniface, Lafayette… he suffered a very severe blow to his leg and it was broke in 6 pieces. He had a punctured lung, a broken rib as well as a gash on his head. He had surgery on his leg late last night which went well…there were concerns with his heart and blood pressure…he seemed to be doing well.
This morning he coded and did not make it. This is very hard as our family is very close. We love my Dad so very much. I always dreaded this moment and knew it would eventually happen. But, it’s never easy.
I am grateful to our good and gracious God for the time He did give us with Him. We are so blessed to have had him.
God is my rock, my God, friend and truest love, and I am confident He will watch over and guide him into eternal life.
I ask for your prayers for him, my mom and all of his sons and daughters. Grant us peace and consolation my dear Jesus and Mary our most amazing Mother.
