National Eucharistic Revival 2022 – 2025
What is The Eucharistic Revival?
The National Eucharistic Revival officially began on the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 19, 2022. This is a three-year initiative sponsored by the Bishops of the United States (USCCB). The intent is to inspire, educate, form, heal, convert, and unite the People of God through a renewed encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist – and to send these “Eucharistic Missionaries” out into a hurting and hungry and thirsty world to bring Jesus to others. This milestone event leads up to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis, IN, July 17-21, 2024 (diocesecc.org).
Why Now?
Recent studies show that 31% of Catholics believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharistic (Pew Research Center). This means, less than a third of believers are available to tell the real truth to the world – Jesus Christ is a Living Host. Considering the world, we live in, everyone needs healing, and Jesus is the ONLY one who heals (Exo 15:26, Ps 107:20, Wis 16:12). Let us accept His invitation in Revelation 3:20, and surrender of our hearts to Him. Let us return to the source and summit of our faith, where Jesus Christ comes to us and makes his real presence known in the Living Eucharist Host - the Holy Eucharist.
