Hello everyone,
As you all likely know we are projected to have potentially record setting low temperatures and wind chills in Worcester County starting tonight into Saturday. Today temperatures will steadily drop with a constant wind and will likely be in the single digits by sundown.
As such, I am sending out a general PSA from our insurance carrier Catholic Mutual with some tips on preventing freeze-ups. Please read these, and also keep in mind that while the temperature will certainly be low enough to freeze pipes the wind is in many ways more of a threat. If you have old doors or windows in a basement, with plumbing pipes nearby, the wind blowing in through gaps can freeze pipes very easily at these temperature and wind velocities. If you have the opportunity either for yourself or your maintenance personnel to walk through any potential trouble spots, please consider doing so.
If you have any issue or need assistance, please feel free to call my cell phone: (774) 502-8761.
