Parish picnic and Corpus Christi Procession
On Sunday, June 3rd we will celebrate the Feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus. Several years ago, the late Deacon Geza Balassy introduced to St. Matthias the beautiful tradition of the Corpus Christi Procession where the Blessed Sacrament is taken to the four corners of the parking lot and we bless the North, South, East and West areas of our parish.
Over the years we have added to the religious part of the celebration a Parish Picnic held here on the grounds and provided by the Knights of Columbus.
I would really love to see you and your family at the Procession and picnic. The weather forecast is for Sunny and 76 degrees, so it’ll be a beautiful day. There are more details in the bulletin Sign up at Church this weekend or call the Rectory and leave a message by Tuesday.
In preparation for this event, the Knights are asking for assistance. If you can help with any of the following items or want more information about these needs, please contact the Knights at cjmjpav@aol.com. Please do so ASAP
