Scripture: John 5:2
When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be well?”
Prayer:
Lord, sometimes we must pray to want to be healed before we can pray to be healed. Your St. Augustine famously said, "Lord, make me chaste, but not yet." For everything in us we do not yet want you to heal, guide us gently to the point where we will let you into those parts of our lives.
Intention:
Today, pray for Thomas, whose funeral was held, and Henry, who was baptized, at Lourdes this past year.
