Hello Friends -
Happy Memorial of St. Katharine Drexel!
All still good on your Lenten journey? My staff and I have been doing some Lenten "deep diving," as you'll see in our most recent video. (Link below.)
I think it's going well...
Our Parish Penance Service is Thursday, March 9 at 7pm. There will be many priests present to hear confessions, and I can't offer strong enough encouragement for you to attend and receive the grace of this Sacrament. It is healing. It is life-giving. It is transformative. As St. Augustine said, "In failing to confess, Lord, I would only hide You from myself; not myself from You." I'm praying you'll come to the Penance Service and accept the mercy, grace, and healing of our loving and faithful God. If it's been a while since you've been to Confession, click the link below for a step-by-step "how-to" guide. (This guide is also available in the Gathering Space.)
We have a new Communion hymn for March. Our Director of Liturgy and Music, Julie Cottrill, chooses the hymn each month specifically with the goal of helping you connect more profoundly with the gift you are receiving in the Eucharist. You can listen to the hymn for March (O Lord, I Am Not Worthy) by following the link below. (So many links this week!)
Prayers for continued Lenten blessings.
Under the protection of Our Lady of Peace,
