Dear Parishioners and School Families,
This weekend an important announcement was made regarding
Into the Deep, our parish, and new priest assignments. In an effort to realign our resources so that we can better accomplish and live out our mission, Bishop Hying approved a plan to group our current 102 parishes in the Diocese of Madison into 30 “pastorates” (which in time will become 30 new parishes).
Bishop Hying has assigned our parish to be in Pastorate 18 in the final approved model, which will take effect on
July 1, 2023. Besides Blessed Trinity in Lodi and Dane, the other parishes in Pastorate 18 in the final approved model are St. John the Baptist in Waunakee and St. Mary of the Lake in Westport.
Regarding priest assignments, Bishop Hying has assigned the following priests to serve the parishes of this new pastorate: Leading Pastorate 18 as Parochial Administrator will be Fr. Joseph Baker. Assisting with pastoral work and serving as Parochial Vicars will be Fr. Enan Zelinski and Dcn. Simon Tipps (who will be ordained a priest this spring).
Thank you for your prayers, support, patience, and commitment as we move forward. For more details, please see the attached documents below or visit
