Brothers and sisters,
As we enter into this third week of Lent, we find ourselves at the cusp of another season of tradition hosted each spring: that of March Madness. This name, of course, describes the seemingly non-stop play of our nation's most accomplished athletes in a weeks long tournament of college basketball. It also describes the exciting unpredictability of games where a metaphorical David may face off with a behemoth to rival Goliath and live to triumph over their opponent in victory. While a secular tradition it may be, one can't help but marvel in awe over the parallels to our own spiritual life. How many times have we seen God give us the strength and ability to do the seemingly impossible, just like he has with so many of these young athletes?
As many of you enjoy watching your favorite teams compete for the chance to bring glory to their schools, we want to invite you to join your passion for hoops to your passion for supporting our parishes by participating in our Eastside Family March Madness Split-the-Pot Fundraiser! Register with the link below to join our "Eastside Family" bracket group and submit your picks for a chance at victory. The top three winners will receive tiered portions of one half of the total amount raised, while the other half will be donated to the Eastside Family of Parishes.
