The Knights of Columbus will have sign up after each Mass for a study group that is forming for the Domestic Church Booklet “Into the Breach”. This study group is open for everyone in the Parish.
Fathers in Our Lives
We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives.
Fatherhood does not come with a manual, and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail.
We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.
This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways--both big and small--they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.
So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches and the women of our families.
For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You.
In Your Holy name, O God, we pray.

Proceeds from Knights of Columbus BBQ will Benefit You
Over 100 parishioners attended the KofC BBQ Sunday after 10:30 Mass
The proceeds from the luncheon will go towards good works of charity to support the purchase of books for the Building the Domestic Church series which will be available to parishioners at a kiosk in the church in the near future. Series topics include parenting, fatherhood and family prayer life, as well as two of St. John Paul II’s famous messages for the family – Letter to Families and The Family in the Modern World. The introduction of the "Into the Breach" book was also highlighted to those in attendance.
Totus Tuus Fun
More than 80 kids participated in Totus Tuus last week at Christ the King. The elementary program drew over 60 students. The middle/high school session consistently drew about 20 kids per night. Students learned about the Apostle's Creed and Luminous Mysterious. They also got the opportunity for Confession, Mass, and Eucharistic Adoration, all while having a great time. This is the 6th year for Totus Tuus at Christ the King, and the parish was honored to be selected as an immersive training location for teams this year.
Fr. Ben explains"human sundae" voting rules to Totus Tuus campers. Team members Brock Jameson, Matthew Nguyen, Monica Jirak, and Maddy Hammer were selected to be turned into sundaes during Friday afternoon festivities.
Thank You to all who Donated Blood
We had 28 donors who donated 24 units. 20 Whole Blood donations and 4 Power Red donations.
Whole blood is the most flexible type of donation. It can be transfused in its original form, or used to help multiple people when separated into its specific components of red cells, plasma and platelets.
Power Red is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you.
