St. Luke’s is an active, vibrant community whose wonderful generosity has kept our parish on solid financial footing. Over 30% of our parishioners take advantage of ‘electronic giving’, which allows our parish to carefully manage finances and effectively provide for the charities we support. The ease of managing contributions electronically gives parishioners a secure and consistent means for giving, while avoiding dips in parish resources when we are unable to attend Mass, or on vacation, or simply forget our checkbook.
Our recent parish survey indicated there were important factors to be considered when trying to increase electronic giving participation. We quickly recognized that physically contributing during a Mass has real meaning to many of us. We also found that using financial technology can present concerns for parishioners if they are not provided assurance regarding security and the information needed to exercise these electronic capabilities.
The Pastoral Council is seeking
Focus Group Volunteers to help address such concerns regarding the use of electronic giving.
