Good morning on this dreary Monday morning! Let’s all paste on a smile and pretend the sun is shining!
I'm going against protocol and sending out an "extra" message this week. Some items have come up for your attention.
Three items are for your information; two items are "housekeeping" issues:
INFORMATION:
1. The Ladies Guild meeting scheduled for tomorrow, March 14, at 1:00 p.m. in the Upper Room, has been cancelled due to the inclement weather coming our way. No re-schedule date has been set at this time.
2. We had an over-order of the Sunday Missals. Father Birendra had a volunteer put them out at the entrances of the church this morning. You are welcome to take a copy home.
3. The Pre-Baptismal Class scheduled for tomorrow evening in the Upper Room, March 14 at 6:00 p.m., is still being held despite the forecast for heavy rain.
4. The 6:00 p.m. Mass will also be celebrated tomorrow evening, March 14, in the church, despite the forecast for heavy rain.
HOUSEKEEPING:
1. This is a gentle reminder that we DO NOT collect clothing, shoes, statues, books, picture frames, etc., for distribution at Blessed Sacrament or elsewhere. Lately people have been dropping off items at all the entrances of the church and it has become the problem of our maintenance staff and volunteers to dispose of these items at the dump or to drive all over town looking for collection bins. If you are cleaning out your closets, attic, or basement, there are many services which can come and collect your items, such as Junkluggers, 1-800 Got Junk, etc.
Thank you for being respectful and considerate of church property and the use of our staff.
As always, thank you for your continued support of providing food to the less fortunate of our community.
2. Another gentle reminder that the little lights provided in the baskets for the devotional candle stands are to be used for the devotional stand only. The maintenance staff and volunteers, and even Fathers, have had to walk all over the church collecting them off of windowsills, shelves, in front of statues, etc. Please place your candle at the devotional stand only. Thank you for your cooperation.
Stay dry!
