Dear Sacred Heart Parish Family,
Believe it or not, Lent is almost halfway over! We come this weekend to Laetare Sunday, so the rose vestments will be out and we will ponder the light of Christ that is coming at Easter. It is an especially joyous weekend since Friday we celebrate St. Patrick and Cardinal Gregory has dispensed us from abstaining from meat, so enjoy the corned beef! Then on Monday we will celebrate the great Solemnity of Saint Joseph, so feast away.
It is providential timing that our Saint Joseph statue is now ready to be blessed, after more than a year of work by the men’s group, contributions from many of you, and the diligence of our parish staff. At the conclusion of the 10 am Mass we will process out to the statue and bless it. We will then celebrate in Carroll Hall with donuts. Come and join!
Please keep in your prayers our Confirmandi as they prepare to be confirmed next Wednesday, March 22, at 7 pm in the church. We have 26 8th graders who will be confirmed by Bishop Campbell. Thanks be to God!
We hope your Lenten journey has been and will be a grace-filled one and we look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Potts and Fr. Russo
