The 40 Hours Devotion begins this Sunday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. with vespers and a reflection by Fr. Brian Dudzinski. From March 19 - Tuesday, March 21 we will have 40 hours of continuous Eucharistic Adoration in our main church. Join us each night at 7:00 p.m. for evening devotions. We also ask that you pay a visit to Jesus in the main church during this Eucharistic Adoration period. You can sign up an hour (or more) of adoration on the board found next to the nursery in the church gathering space.

What is the 40 Hours Devotion?
The 40 Hours Devotion is 40 hours of continuous prayer before the exposed Blessed Sacrament, where we come face-to-face with Our Lord. 40 hours is the number of hours Jesus spent in the tomb between His death and resurrection. The number 40 is also found repeatedly throughout the Old and New Testaments, including: the number of days Jesus fasted and was tempted in the wilderness, the days of rain causing the great flood during Noah’s time, and the years of journey the Israelites wandered in the desert. The 40 Hours Devotion is an opportunity to gather as a community before the Blessed Sacrament and pray before the Lord in solemn Adoration. It gives us time to deepen our appreciation of the importance of the mystery of the Eucharist in our lives.
