Courtyard Renovation – Phase II - Stations of the Cross Art Project Update
We hope all is well as you are experiencing the journey through this year’s season of Lent. Among many of the opportunities to dive deeper into the Lenten experience is the fellowship of gathering before the Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. each Friday. We are hopeful that you have been able to attend or are planning to attend.
As previously shared, Phase II of the Courtyard renovation is intended to provide another area to encounter this event in the life of Jesus Christ. We know this as his Passion, which is also known as “The Stations of the Cross.” Each of the Stations will be placed on separate columns facing the interior of the courtyard. The project will allow this journey to come to life in our very own courtyard.
The project had a slight stall, but is back on track. We are in the process of finalizing the list of interested artists. We currently have several young adults and high school students that have expressed interest in the project, but would like to reach out once again to our Parishioners. Please let us know if you know an artist that may be interested in exploring this opportunity. We will in turn provide them more detailed information about the project scope and the upcoming Information Session in April.
We look forward to keeping you updated in the coming months about this project, other exciting outreach opportunities and important happenings in the Parish. As always, we are here to serve, so please reach out with any comments or suggestions at pastoralcouncil@bscaz.org or reply directly to this email. On behalf of the entire Pastoral Council, we wish you a blessed Lent!
“Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me” (John 15:4)
