HOME
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20) Home means many things to people. For some it means where they grew up, whether it be the town or maybe the physical house in which they lived. Whatever your definition, a home is supposed to be a place where we feel most comfortable, where we share memories with family and friends. Blessed Sacrament for many is that home. For some they have not been home in a while. We invite you back. We want to hear those stories of the past and look forward to creating new stories for the present and into the future. Everyone has a reason why they came or continue to come to Blessed Sacrament. For some it’s as simple as our church is closest to where they live, they may have been invited by a parishioner to attend, and for some it’s the pastor of the church.
Father Killian mentioned to us at Mass a few weeks back that he originally came to Blessed Sacrament simply because it was the closet in proximity. He found our church by looking at the yellow pages, the original “google”. He stayed and became involved because of the people in the church especially our former pastor, Father Pat.
Remember there is no church, unless “U” are in it literally and figuratively.
We welcome everyone to come back or keep attending our church. Our Blessed Sacrament Church of Scottsdale. The fountain is flowing with living water and we are excited to welcome back to our “Home” Father Killian.
Please come to the church to welcome him Home and we hope others, who are able, may come home again to Blessed Sacrament.
We look forward to keeping you updated. As always, we are here to serve, so please reach out with any comments or suggestions at pastoralcouncil@bscaz.org or reply directly to this email. If you have any specific questions for Father Killian, please let us know, and we will direct them to him.
On behalf of the Pastoral Council, we would like to wish all of the fathers a
Happy Father’s Day!
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (Matthew 28:19)
