Please read carefully the following notice from the Office of Divine Worship regarding the re-implementation of the practice of offering the cup and the Precious Blood at parish Masses beginning on Holy Thursday. I believe we will follow his instruction here at St. Edward's. More on this to come. "In recent times," due to the pandemic, the policy in the Diocese of Columbus has been to refrain from distributing the Precious Blood of Christ at Holy Communion. With this letter I write to inform you that his Excellency, Bishop Earl K. Fernandes, in light of the teaching of the second Vatican Council (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 55) has decided that the time has come to reconsider the possibility of the distribution of Holy Communion under both species of bread and wine at Mass, as a fuller sign of participation in the Eucharist banquet.

Therefore, beginning with the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday evening, Bishop Fernandes gives his permission ad experimentum according to norms below for the distribution of Holy Communion under both kinds: the Sacred Host and the Precious Blood. At the end of the Easter season, Bishop Fernandes will evaluate the practice of the distribution of the Precious Blood and give further instruction about the continuance of the practice. Realizing this is a modest beginning and that there will be a "learning curve" as the distribution of the Precious Blood resumes, Priests are invited to make observations throughout the Easter season and are invited to offer feedback. It should not be presumed that the same number of peoples will receive from the chalice as prior to the pandemic. Many people remain fearful for a variety of reasons; thus, prudence should be utilized with respect to the amount of wine to be consecrated.

Start thinking now how you can help - bringing in homemade desserts, breading fish, frying fish, ticket taking, serving, clean-up and more. If you have never participated in this fun event, this may be your year to start!

The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a parish Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday after the 11:00AM Mass. Children ages 8 and under are invited. The Egg Hunt will be held outdoors, weather permitting or in the Parish Hall.

A new group has started for parents of PSR students.

While students are in PSR, parents will meet to discuss various parts of the Catholic faith. If you have questions about the Catholic faith, this is the place to find answers in a non-judgmental environment. Questions will not be considered insignificant.

Led by Richard Hoben, the class will include videos and discussion.

All adults are welcome.
