This week, you will introduce your family to Holy Thursday. We will talk about the very first Eucharist and the command Jesus gave us all to go out and serve others. Your family will "act out" the washing of the feet, but you'll wash your family's hands instead. Please read the lesson before you come to class.
At the end of Mass on Holy Thursday, the Altar is stripped. This is symbolic of the humiliation of Jesus at the hands of the soldiers. After the Last Supper, less that twenty-four hours remained in the earthly life of our Lord. This quick video shows an elaborate stripping of the Altar. (in fast motion). We encourage you to come to the special Masses of the Triduum, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil.
