Sunday the teens heard from Pat and Kenna Millea, Martin Center for Integration, on how to foster mental wholeness and authentic holiness. They discussed emotions and how important it is to recognize them and realize they are not bad or good. Emotions are morally neutral; it's the actions that are judged moral or immoral. They showed some coping strategies when you feel like your emotions are out of control. They also discussed how to keep our minds in check with reality and not to let ourselves spin out of control. It was a wonderful talk, and I hope the teens walked away with some tools on how to better manage their mental health.
