The SECS Advisory Board is accepting nominations for Board membership for the 2022-2023 school year. Potential members of the Board must be 18 years of age or older and either registered parishioners in good standing of St. Edward Parish OR parents of children enrolled in St. Edward Catholic School. Members should have a strong commitment to a total Catholic Christian Education and may not be employees of the school, related to employees of the school, nor Board members of another school or school system.
Potential new members of the Board will participate in a prayerful discernment process in April.

St. Edward is proud to announce that Kidventure Camp will return to the community bringing their 29 years of summer camp experience designed to foster fun, create lasting memories, and help build the social, emotional, and physical lives of our children. Camp St. Edward will offer seven unique weeks of summer day camp beginning June 5, 2023.

Your Camp Program
Discoverers (ages 3-5) will provide an active and hands-on camp experience for early childhood campers. Explorers (entering 1st grade-5th grade) will bring the excitement, challenge, and rewards of ‘overnight camp’ in a day camp setting.

The Camp Week
Each camp week will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 3 PM with the option for Post Camp from 3 PM to 6 PM. Kidventure provides an active and purposeful camp curriculum that will include a variety of camp activities and events including athletics, art, team building, rock climbing, archery, field trips, and much more. Central to Kidventue’s mission is the fostering of meaningful character traits and strong values.

Camp Registration Begins February 1, 2023 
Camp is limited and fills quickly. Registration will begin at 9 AM on February 1st, 2023. At that time you may register for any camp weeks at Kidventure’s website. The tuition cost for each week of camp is $320 with discounts for two or more children in the same family. Options such as camp lunches are also available.

PTO Pizza ordering just got easier! FACTS family portal through Renweb will be open the 15th of every month and close the 30th of every month. 

FACTS has a lunch ordering system that allows us to efficiently manage our Pizza orders and billing. I have attached instructions on how to place your order. Payment will be made at time order is submitted.

The SECS Advancement Committee will be hosting a "Phill the Box" Fundraiser on campus from March 20-April 20, 2023. Phill the Box is a clothing, shoe, and textile recycling program which will pay our school for every pound of clothing donated during a 30-day collection period. A large blue bin will be placed in the drive between the front of the school and the field. Drive up and drop off your items. 

All items should be clean and placed in plastic bags. 

Clothing Apparel and Shoes– We accept women’s, men’s, children and baby clothing. 

Apparel Accessories– We accept purses, backpacks, clutches, tote bags, shoulder bags, laptop bags, hats, gloves, ties, scarves, belts, and wallets. 

Household Textiles– We accept household items made of fabric in good condition to include blankets, bed sheets, comforters, curtains, towels, draperies, and table cloths. (No appliances, kitchenware, or non-fabric décor.) Stuffed/plush toys are acceptable 

No wet items, any wet item may make entire collection unusable and unacceptable. 

We cannot accept any non-fabric items (other than apparel accessories listed above) including but not limited to electronics, appliances, furniture, books, tapes, cassettes, DVDs, mattresses, cookware, kitchenware, utensils, non-fabric home décor. 

We do not accept toys at this moment or items that cannot be reused will be recycled.

Monarch Matriarchs presents “80’s Night Mom Prom” on Saturday, May 6th in the SECS gym! It will be a fun night of fellowship, dancing, and all things 80’s. More information to come.

Every 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of the month during the 9:30 am Mass, children in kinder-3^rd grade are invited to join us for a breaking open of the word in the Chapel. This liturgical experience helps the children better understand the readings and applying their importance and teachings into their daily lives.

If you or someone you know has been seeking truth, want to know more about the Catholic faith, and are considering becoming Catholic, you are invited to join us on Sundays from 10AM to 11AM. James Crichton, from the Pastoral Council, will lead an initiative to pray the Holy Rosary 30 minutes before Sunday Masses in the Chapel.

James is looking for volunteers to assist him in leading the Holy Rosary at the following times: Saturday 5:00pm, Sunday 7:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am, and 4:30pm.

The St. Edward Knights of Columbus Council 14512 will be hosting Fish Fry Fridays during Lent beginning next Friday, February 24^th from 5-7 PM in the PLC.  Please join us to share food, faith, and fellowship this Lenten season!

Save the date! We will host our annual Vacation Bible School June 12th-16th in the morning. Registration for ministry leaders and their children will open on March 31^st and registration for all participants will open later in April. Mark the date and keep an eye out for more information.
